Chrissie's Owls is a non-profit organisation.
Inevitably Owl and Bird of Prey Rescue and Rehabilitation is a costly activity. The amount of money that is required; for feeding, transportation (vehicle costs like petrol when going to rescue the Owls, trips to the Vet and to releasing them back to the wild in the same area they where found at, vehicle maintainance etc.), specialist equipment such as specially constructed hospital boxes/units for the birds, avian first aid supplies and much more.
And the time demanded is a huge factor in the work we do; firstly going out to collect the destressed Owl or other Bird of Prey, assessing the bird for possible injuries, taking the bird to an Avian Veterinary specialist for any specialist care they require, keeping a close eye on the bird when securely housed at our rescue center, feeding the birds and giving the birds any medication regularly or changing bandages etc. if the bird has exposed injuries.
We make ourselves available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year. Our passion and mission is to help injured and sick Owls and Birds of Prey, and wherever possible, rehabilitate them back to full health and release them back to the wild where they belong.
