Sometimes in life, we meet people who flit through briefly. Some that hang around for a couple of years maybe, but never leave any great impression on us.
Some who are friends who stay with us forever, sharing our ups and downs over the years. Reliable and solid.
Those of us who are very lucky meet a special person. Someone with great passion, honesty and knowledge, who inspires those that cross her path. Never afraid to speak the truth and stand up for what she believes in.
Such a person is Chrissie. I am proud and privileged to call Chrissie my friend.

Mrs Chrissie Harper is such a really lovely and genuine person, that you could ever wish to meet. Her energy and enthusiasm to this cause, is far beyond anything that you could imagine. This wonderful lady has devoted her whole life to saving and creating a better environment and life for these unfortunate Owls.
She as also brought a lot of happiness and joy to so many; visiting schools, residential homes etc, in a tireless fashion. Nothing is ever too much trouble for her; she travels far and wide to promote the welfare of her beloved Owls.
I have never known anyone with the dynamic energy that she has, working all the hours in a day that she does in trying to keep this wonderful home for Owls going. Although she has had a really bad time of late, with the current economic climate, she has remained positive at all times. She has so very many really great and genuine friends that have all rallied around, offering their help in so many different ways to keep Chrissie's Owls going. So many people would have given up, but no not Chrissie, because she is so dedicated and a super human being, and I say it's a real shame that there are not more people like Chrissie in this world. And I would like to take this opportunity in wishing Chrissie's Owls every success for the future, which she so richly deserves.

Chrissie is a wonderful person who gives up everything to help Birds of Prey who need protection. I have never met her yet but looking at her Facebook pages I feel I have known her for years. I wish I could do half as much as Chrissie does to help raptors as a fellow falconer. Chrissie should be honored for the work she has given to Owl Rescue. Everybody who is true friends with Chrissie will help her through life's up and downs. With all our support and with new support, Chrissie's Owls will prosper in the future.

As a fellow falconer and Raptor rehabilitator it's very important to have people like her in this world. To have such dedication for saving and educating people about these magnificent animals even through the tough times, Chrissie is truly an amazing person!

Two years ago, my daughter provided me a UStream link, to the world's most famous Barn Owls, Molly & McGee, in San Marcos, California. It was love at first sight and I found myself getting caught up in watching the daily life of a pair of Barn Owls, from the actual eggs hatching to the Owlets fledging.
I am excited to have been recently given the link to Chrissie's Owls. I live in the USA, therefore, I am not able to meet Chrissie, in person, nor see her wonderful efforts and or hear her educational talks, she gives to the public.
Not to far from where I live, we have a local Raptor Rehab group and I have, personally, witnessed the wonderful service they provide for injured or abandoned Owls.
I have a deep admiration for all the compassionate souls, who devot many hours a day, to such a valiant effort.
When I hear of people like Chrissie, these words come to mind, "Your work is to discover your world and then with all your heart give yourself to it."
On behalf of all of these rescued Owls, thank-you, Chrissie, for all you do.
