Volunteering at Chrissies Owls
Have a passion for Owls and would like the opportunity to work with them?
Volunteering at Chrissie's Owls will give you the opportunity to do so.
At Chrissie's Owls, education is a huge part of what we do. We attend a vast range of Shows & Events, as well as Youth & Adult Groups/Organisations. We also visit many Schools and hold talks and demonstrations with our Owls.
Our main aim at Chrissie's Owls is to promote conservation needs of our native Owl species and other Birds of Prey. We believe this is extremely important, especially now that some of our native species of Birds of Prey are in decline.
As we fund all of our own Rescue and Conservation work, we are continually looking for dedicated people with a genuine love of Owls and Birds of Prey to help us on a voluntary basis. We cannot afford to pay for help and we take no money from the rescue; everything we raise is used for the birds. This includes buying food, veterinary fees and keeping our two vehicles on the road which we use to collect injured Owls and Birds of Prey.
In return for any help you can offer we will be happy to teach you to handle and fly our birds and also give you the opportunity to attend shows and talks. We would also teach you whatever you would like to learn with regard to Owls and Birds of Prey.
If you would like to volunteer in any way, please contact us via any of the methods listed on our Contact page.
Kind Regards,
Chrissie's Owls
